I am Hayley Marshall and I have been a full-time practicing psychotherapist and counsellor in the Stockport/South Manchester area for 12 years. Before that I trained as a classical musician, and worked as a freelancer in London and the North West. I am 46, married and have 2 children of 17 and 21 years old.

Currently, I am Practice Counsellor in a GP surgery in Derbyshire. I also see clients for counselling and psychotherapy in my private practice in Stockport, South Manchester, and in Buxton, Derbyshire.
I am a fully qualified UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, as well as ITA Registered.

I work with individuals, couples and groups on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of enabling people to explore and work through their difficulties. I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy in a confidential and non-judgemental environment.

My area of special interest lies in working with people who have withdrawn from life and/or experience difficulties in relating to others. I use the therapeutic relationship (or therapy group) as a tool to help with understanding these dynamics, and to facilitate new ways of relating.I am also very interested in our experience of the natural environment as a therapeutic intervention, and work with people outside if they wish to do so.



My counselling and psychotherapy private practice is based at the South Manchester Centre for Psychotherapy in the Heaton Moor area of Stockport, and at my home office in Buxton, Derbyshire. These are within easy reach of South Manchester and towns in the High Peak.
